Air Suspension for Motorhomes & Light Commercial Vehicles
Fully loaded, most motorhomes and light commercial vehicles sit noticeably lower at the rear — affecting ground clearance, ramp angles, headlight aim and handling. On Air Suspension supply semi-air and full-air kits, replacement airbags, compressors and control systems for motorhomes, campervans and light commercial vehicles. Parts available for nationwide next day delivery. Diagnostics and fitting at our Ongar, Essex workshop.
Semi-air and full-air suspension kits
We supply two types of air suspension conversion kit. Semi-air kits work alongside the existing suspension — nothing is removed, and the kit adds rear height control and load levelling on top of what's already there. Full-air kits replace the original suspension entirely, providing a complete air suspension solution with maximum adjustability.
Vehicles covered include the Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer, Citroën Relay, Mercedes Sprinter, Ford Transit, Iveco Daily, VW Crafter, Renault Master, campervans and AL-KO chassis motorhomes. If your vehicle isn't listed, call us on 01277 552030 — bespoke solutions are available.
For AL-KO chassis motorhomes, our kits are also a likely requirement for up-plating — we supply all technical documentation needed to support the process. (Up-plating to be confirmed by a specialist third-party company.)
Is your compressor running constantly?
A compressor running constantly or cycling repeatedly is a common sign of a failed air spring or a leak in the air line — the system is trying to maintain pressure it can't hold. Left unaddressed, a continuously running compressor will burn out prematurely, turning a straightforward repair into a more expensive one. We can supply replacement compressors, diagnose the cause and carry out repairs at our Ongar workshop. If you're hearing your compressor run more than usual, contact us before the problem compounds.
Not sure what you need?
Identifying the correct air spring isn't always straightforward — the rubber bellow part number alone is often insufficient. The correct unit depends on the full assembly reference, mounting type and vehicle specification. If you've noticed your motorhome sitting unevenly, heard air escaping from the rear, spotted a swollen or cracked rubber component, or heard your compressor running constantly — contact us before ordering. We can identify the right part from your registration or chassis details.
