Ford Transit Mk.8 Dual Digital Compressor Kit — PCP1043Z / PCP1053Z

A compressor and dual digital gauge kit designed specifically for the Ford Transit Mk.8. It lets you adjust your rear air spring pressure from the driver's seat instead of at the wheel arch with a tyre inflator.
 
The gauge panel mounts in a 3D-printed bracket designed in-house by On Air Suspension. It fits directly into the Transit's large cupholder, so the controls sit within reach without drilling the dash or permanently modifying the cab.
 
Manual or electric handbrake: choose your version
 
The Mk.8 Transit was built with either a manual handbrake lever or an electric parking brake switch. The switch sits next to the cupholder, so we make two versions of the faceplate:
 
Manual handbrake (PCP1043Z): for vans with a conventional handbrake lever.
Electric handbrake (PCP1053Z): a revised faceplate with a cutout for the electric parking brake switch, so the switch stays fully accessible.
 
All other components are identical between the two kits. If your Transit has a handbrake lever, choose manual. If it has a parking brake switch, choose electric.
 
How it works
 
A 12V compressor supplies air to your rear air springs through two paddle switches mounted on the dash panel. One switch controls each side, so the left and right springs can be inflated or deflated independently. Two digital gauges show the pressure in each spring, so you can set the pressure to suit the load you're carrying and correct a side-to-side imbalance, for example a van loaded heavier on one side.
 
Compressor
 
The kit uses our Standard duty 12V compressor (120psi, 9% duty cycle). It's suited to the occasional adjustments a semi-air system needs: topping up before a trip or adjusting as the load changes. If your van will be adjusted frequently or runs a full-air system, call us to discuss a higher-duty option.

Compatibility
Designed for the Ford Transit Mk.8 fitted with rear air springs. The kit controls an existing semi-air system and is not an air suspension kit on its own. If you don't yet have rear air springs fitted, or aren't sure which Transit kit suits your van, contact us.
 
Fitting
 
The kit can be fitted at our Ongar, Essex workshop, or supplied for fitting by your own mechanic or a competent DIY installer.
