Air Spring Types We Supply
Single, double and triple convoluted air springs — the standard forms of industrial air spring, used for suspension, actuation and vibration isolation. Available across a wide range of diameters and load capacities, in dismountable, crimped and bead-ring assembly configurations.

Sleeve air springs — for applications requiring longer stroke or a smaller installed diameter.

Air springs as actuators — unlike conventional rod-type pneumatic cylinders, a bellows actuator generates force by inflating a rubber bellow. No piston rod, no internal seals, no lubrication, and inherent tolerance of lateral and angular misalignment — well suited to pressing, lifting, clamping and tensioning duties where a conventional cylinder would wear or bind.

Air springs as vibration isolators — the low natural frequency of an air spring makes it an effective replacement for coil springs and rubber-metal mounts, isolating the large majority of unwanted vibration from industrial machinery and protecting both equipment and workplace.

Material options — beyond standard rubber compounds, bellows can be specified in butyl (ozone and UV endurance), nitrile (oil and fuel resistance), EPDM (high temperature) and chloroprene (seawater resistance), with stainless steel end closures (AISI 304/316) where corrosion resistance is required.

For industrial applications, we work with Manufacturas Oria — a specialist air spring manufacturer with over 50 years in the industry. Their range spans standard single, double and triple convoluted bellows through to fully bespoke designs, in dismountable, crimped and bead-ring configurations, with bellow diameters from 120mm to 950mm and load capacities up to 450 kN.
This relationship gives us access to genuine engineering depth alongside the responsiveness of a smaller specialist manufacturer — able to take on demanding one-off and low-volume work that larger suppliers are slower to prioritise.
How a Bespoke Project Works

Requirement — send drawings, a sample component, a part number, or just the application parameters (load, stroke, envelope, operating environment)

Design — our engineers develop the specification on CAD, prototyping with 3D printing where geometry needs validating

Validation — production runs through our manufacturing partners' factory testing regimes, including pressure testing of produced components to confirm they meet specification. And if a fitted spring is ever suspected of leaking or underperforming in service, we can pressure-test it on our own test rig to confirm the fault before replacement.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you replace a discontinued industrial air spring? Yes. If the original manufacturer no longer supports your component, our design engineers can produce a like-for-like replacement to the original specification. Send us the existing component, drawings, or just the part number stamped on the unit, and we'll engineer a match.

How do I identify my air spring? Check the bellow for moulded markings or a stamped part number first — most manufacturers mark the rubber. If no marking is legible, measure the maximum outside diameter, the installed and maximum heights, count the convolutions, and note the mounting arrangement (studs, threaded holes, bead rings). Photographs alongside those measurements are usually enough for us to identify a match.

What information do you need for a bespoke quote? The application, load requirements, required stroke, the installation envelope (available space), and the operating environment — temperature range, and any exposure to oils, chemicals or seawater. Existing component details or drawings help but aren't essential.

Do you supply equivalents for other manufacturers' air springs? Yes. Springs can be cross-referenced against part numbers from all major air spring manufacturers. Some references relate to the bellows component only, so mounting configurations should always be confirmed before ordering — we can help with this.

What are typical lead times? Stocked items despatch quickly. Bespoke and low-volume manufactured items depend on specification — but our production relationships mean lead times are often significantly shorter than standard distribution channels.
