Air Suspension For Light Commercial Vehicles

Air suspension kits for light commercial vehicles — vans, specialist conversions, Luton bodies, low loaders and car transporters. Kits are available for the Mercedes Sprinter, Ford Transit, VW Crafter, Fiat Ducato, Renault Master, Iveco Daily, Isuzu Grafter, Citroën Berlingo and Ford Connect. Semi-air kits work alongside existing suspension — nothing removed, fully reversible. Full-air kits replace the original spring entirely for maximum adjustability.

Our Kits are supplied in the UK by On Air Suspension's in-house engineering team and is available for professional fitting at our Ongar, Essex workshop.

Why Air Suspension for Light Commercial Vehicles?

Commercial vehicles carry variable loads, often repeatedly and at or near their legal limit. Standard rear suspension is engineered as a compromise across that entire range — sprung for a nominal load, it sits high unladen and sags under full payload. The result is a rear that drops under load, reduced ramp and approach angles at loading docks, headlight aim pointing high, and a vehicle attitude that changes with every job.

A semi-air kit addresses this without altering the vehicle's legal kerb weight or GVW. Air springs are added alongside the existing suspension — nothing is removed, and the installation is fully reversible. The operator gains on-demand control over rear ride height: raise the rear to clear a loading dock lip or ramp approach, level the vehicle under an off-centre load, and maintain a consistent ride height regardless of what's in the back.

For fleet operators, the same kit can be standardised across multiple vehicles — common serviceable components, common spares, and technical support from the team that engineered the system. For converters and bodybuilders, a semi-air kit can be specified at the point of build rather than retrofitted after the vehicle is in service.

All kits are supplied ready for manual inflation. Optional compressor and automatic levelling systems are available alongside any kit.

FAQs — Commercial Vehicle Air Suspension

Do you fit air suspension to commercial vehicles at your workshop?

Yes. We supply and fit kits at our Ongar, Essex workshop for light commercial vehicles including Sprinter, Transit, Crafter, Ducato, Master, Iveco Daily and Isuzu chassis.

How long does fitting take?

A semi-air kit is typically fitted in a morning or afternoon. Larger jobs such as full-air conversions can take up to a day or more depending on the vehicle. Call us to confirm timescales for your vehicle.

Does a semi-air kit change my vehicle's payload or GVW?

No. A semi-air kit manages how the vehicle carries its rated load — the legal payload, gross vehicle weight and plated axle limits remain exactly as before.

We run a fleet — can you supply and fit across multiple vehicles?

Yes. The same kit can be standardised across a fleet — common serviceable components, common spares, and technical support from our Ongar engineering team. Contact us to discuss multi-vehicle requirements.

Can a kit be fitted at the point of build?

Yes — for converters and bodybuilders, kits can be specified and fitted at the point of build rather than retrofitted after the vehicle enters service. Contact us to discuss build-stage supply

My van has factory air suspension that has failed — can you help?

Yes. We carry out diagnostics and repair on factory-fitted and aftermarket air suspension systems at our workshop, and hold replacement air springs and compressors in UK stock. For X250/X290 ambulances with the Continental OE system, see our dedicated OE conversion kit. [Ambulance Air Suspension Replacement Kit — Ducato X250/X290]
