The VW Crafter NF and MAN TGE are workhorses of the light commercial market — used across trade, fleet, specialist conversion and emergency service applications. Under payload, the standard rear suspension compromises vehicle attitude, reduces stability and creates challenges at loading docks, ramps and ferry embarkation points. On Air Suspension's rear semi-air kit works alongside the existing suspension to give you on-demand rear height control and load levelling without altering the vehicle's legal kerb weight or GVW.
 
How it works
 
Air springs are added to assist the existing rear suspension rather than replacing it. Original suspension components are fully retained — the installation is reversible and does not affect chassis integrity. You gain precise control over rear ride height and load management across the full legal load range.

Which kit is right for your vehicle?
 
AKS2058Y — FWD, standard and long wheelbase For front-wheel drive Crafter NF and MAN TGE variants on standard and long wheelbase configurations. The primary kit for most FWD applications.
AKS2062R — FWD, Maxi / extended overhang (XLWB) For front-wheel drive Crafter NF and MAN TGE on the Maxi variant with extended rear overhang. The outboard fitment on this kit accommodates the longer overhang geometry of XLWB configurations.
 
AKS2158Y — RWD and 4x4 For rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive Crafter NF and MAN TGE variants. This kit includes the additional bracket set required for RWD and 4x4 configurations — everything needed is in the box.
 
AKS2064R — 5t twin rear wheel For the 5 tonne twin rear wheel commercial variants of the Crafter NF and MAN TGE. The heavier GVW rating means greater variation between unladen and laden ride height — making load management particularly valuable for operators running these vehicles at or near capacity.
 
AKS2080R — Outboard specialist kit An outboard-mounted variant providing additional roll stability for specialist body and load applications. If your vehicle carries unusual or demanding loads, or has a specialist body configuration that warrants additional lateral stiffness, contact us to discuss whether this variant is appropriate for your application.

Every kit is supplied ready for manual inflation. Combine with one of our compressor or automatic levelling control systems for added convenience — available to purchase alongside the kit.
