Sprinter Hymer AL-KO SLC Chassis Rear Semi-Air Suspension Kit — AKS3300AD

The AL-KO SLC (Super Light Chassis) is a specialist platform supplied exclusively to Hymer for use on the Mercedes Sprinter-based B-MC T and B-MC 550/690 motorhome ranges. Its low-frame design gives Hymer motorhomes a lower floor and larger living space — but under load, the rear sits closer to the ground, reducing clearance at ramps, ferry decks and steep driveways.
 
This rear semi-air suspension kit is the aftermarket solution. Air springs work alongside the existing AL-KO SLC torsion beam suspension — nothing is removed, and the original setup is fully retained. You gain on-demand rear height control and load levelling without altering the vehicle's legal kerb weight or GVW.
 
How it works
 
The air springs assist the existing suspension under load, maintaining rear ride height as payload increases. Raise the rear on demand to clear ferry ramps, steep driveways and tight inclines. Increased roll stiffness provides greater stability when passing high-sided vehicles or in crosswinds.
 
Kit contents
 
The bracket assembly is supplied by MAD, specifically designed for the Hymer SLC platform. SABO air springs and On Air Suspension fittings are included in the kit.
