On Air Suspension's S3 semi-air kit covers rear-wheel drive Mercedes Sprinter variants from 2006 onwards — both standard single rear wheel and 4x4 configurations. Two kit variants are available to suit your specific Sprinter setup, with the 4x4 variant using triple convoluted air springs to accommodate the increased suspension travel and more demanding requirements of all-wheel drive applications.
 
How It Works
 
The semi-air system works alongside the Sprinter's original rear suspension — air springs are added to assist the existing setup rather than replacing it. Original suspension components are fully retained. You gain precise, adjustable control over rear ride height and load management without affecting chassis integrity or original suspension geometry.

Kit Variants
 
AKS2242Y — Standard single rear wheel RWD. Uses 170x2 SABO / On Air air springs with ARB attachment bracket. Compatible with Mercedes Sprinter S3 RWD 2006 onwards
AKS2142Y — 4x4 single rear wheel. Uses 170-3 triple convoluted air springs for extended stroke and increased suspension travel. Compatible with Mercedes Sprinter S3 4x4 2006 onwards, including the Hymer ML-T 570 CrossOver

Why Triple Convoluted Springs on the 4x4 Variant?
 
The 4x4 Sprinter chassis demands significantly more suspension travel than the standard RWD variant. Standard double convoluted air springs are not sufficient for this application — the AKS2142Y uses triple convoluted springs specifically to meet the increased stroke requirements of the 4x4 suspension geometry. This is not an off-the-shelf solution — it is engineered for the application.

Designed and Built in the UK
 
Every On Air Suspension kit begins on our CAD systems. Our in-house engineering team designs each solution from scratch, prototypes using advanced 3D printing, and validates through physical installation and testing at our Ongar, Essex workshop. We don't fit other people's kits — we build our own.
