Rear air suspension for the Mercedes-Benz W447, covering both the V-Class and the Vito. The kit replaces the rear coil springs with air springs, which mount directly to the vehicle without additional brackets.
This is a rear axle system. The front suspension stays as Mercedes supplied it. The rear axle carries most of the variable load (passengers, luggage, equipment), so that is where ride height changes.
Long and extra-long wheelbase only
The W447 is built in three wheelbases. This system fits the long and extra-long versions. It does not fit the compact wheelbase.

V-Class and Vito: same rear chassis, different jobs
The V-Class is the premium people mover, built around comfort and passenger space. What matters is that it sits level and rides consistently whether it's carrying two occupants or seven plus luggage. The Vito is the practical version of the same platform, suited to cargo and working use, where the load changes daily. The rear chassis is common to both, so the system is the same. The difference is how the vehicle gets loaded.
Supplied with On Air Active
This system is fitted with On Air Active — Advanced Air Suspension Control System as standard.
An ECU reads a single height sensor on the rear axle and adjusts the air springs to hold the rear at a set ride height as load changes, so the vehicle rides consistently from empty to fully loaded. A dashboard dump switch deflates the rear fully for low-access loading. Ride height returns automatically once you drive off.
On a rear axle system, On Air Active provides automatic levelling and a dump function. Driver-selectable ride height is a four-corner feature and is not part of this system.
