Land Rover Discovery 2 Rear Air Spring 1998–2004 (ASL4019U)
A sleeve air spring assembly for the Land Rover Discovery 2 rear, covering 1998 to 2004. Compatible with both TD5 diesel and V8 petrol models. Supplied as a complete assembly. Order one per side.
Common symptoms of a failed air spring: rear of vehicle dropping or sagging overnight, uneven ride height side to side, noisy or constantly running compressor, or visible cracking on the rubber bellow.
Replacing in pairs is strongly recommended. If one spring has failed due to age or rubber perishing, the other side is likely in similar condition. Replacing both ensures even ride height and consistent suspension response.
Note on retaining clips: Check your existing NTC9449 retaining clips at the time of fitting — these frequently corrode and may need replacing to ensure the spring is correctly secured to the chassis.
Important — do not dry inflate: Never inflate this air spring unless it is correctly seated between the chassis and axle. Inflating an unsupported spring can cause diaphragm failure and will void the warranty.
